Since writing about Buffalo’s outdoor yoga class offerings last week, I’ve learned about an entirely different—and entirely FREE—outdoor fitness program for Western New Yorkers.
Independent Health and YMCA Buffalo Niagara will host yoga, pilates and Zumba classes at locations around the area beginning Monday and ending Aug. 31 for Fitness in the Parks. Sessions will be held in two Buffalo locations, Amherst, Orchard Park, Tonawanda and Cheektowaga.
Here some specifics on the individual locations:
Bassett Park, 359 Klein Road, Williamsville
6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
Canalside, 44 Prime St.
6 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
Delaware Park, Meadow Drive
10 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays
Town Park, 2600 Harlem Road
10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
Chestnut Ridge, 6121 Chestnut Ridge Road
6 p.m. Tuesdays
Ellicott Creek, Niagara Falls Blvd. and N. Ellicott Creek Road
6 p.m. Thursdays
