Adjust your drives: half-marathon season’s here

Get ready to adapt your weekend commutes to accommodate the many road closures that come with HALF-MARATHON SEASONNNNNN.
Western New York will be hosting three half-marathons—and a full marathon—in the next two months.
Expect to see a surplus of joggers on the streets in the coming weeks as runners prepare for the Grand Island Half-Marathon, Saturday’s race sponsored by the Greater Buffalo Track Club; the Buffalo Marathon and half-marathon May 27; and the Rapid Running Buffalo Half Marathon on June 30.
Each run features unique scenery and cool perks. The Buffalo Marathon, for example, takes runners on a journey through the entire city of Buffalo. The Grand Island run is a flat out-and-back race along the water. The half sponsored by Rapid Running ends on the 50-yard line at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
