Help the Bills build a playground

Even if you don’t really like the Bills—or, in my case, professional football as a thing—it’s hard not to “like” the Bills on Facebook.

For each new Buffalo Bills Facebook fan or Twitter follower, the team will donate a dollar toward the construction a playground in Western New York. The social media promotion runs through Aug. 25. The goal is to reach $75,000. As of July 3, the team and its partners reached just more than $1,500.

The Bills partnered with 2012 Hometown Huddle, the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council, and KaBOOM! to help raise the funds.

Reps from the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County will determine the location of the new playground.
