Multitalented media: TBN’s Gleason, Sullivan earn TV time

Caution: you may view this duo as a bunch of cantankerous intellectuals, bold critics, sage columnists—or something entirely different—but regardless of your stance, The Buffalo News’ Bucky Gleason and Jerry Sullivan are two of the most recognized and lauded local media members.
For the first time, the two seasoned TBN columnists will balance newspaper duties with a biweekly gig on a local TV station, presenting “The Bucky and Sully Show” on WBBZ TV at 7 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays.
Running for 40 weeks beginning Sept. 6, “The Bucky and Sully Show” will focus on Buffalo sports—the Bills and Sabres, specifically—but will also touch briefly on college football, Major League Baseball, the NBA, as the duo’s well-rounded knowledge will be put to use.
Don’t fret: there will be the usual dosages of dry wit, sarcasm and (potentially) not-so-subtle jabs at the Regiers and Marrones of the world.
While WBBZ’s Bob Koshinski will serve as a co-host (read: mediator) for the first three episodes, notable guests will be a regular feature of the show moving forward. Following the debut TV series in the fall, WBBZ TV will continue to host “The Fred Jackson Show” at 7:30 p.m. immediately following Bucky and Sully.
For veteran viewers, will the “Bozo of the Week” feature continue? Will Bucky and Sully continue to lament the existence of cats?
The Buffalo News’ editor-in-chief Mike Connelly relayed channel details in his blog—see below:
WBBZ—which carries the New York Yankees and will air the Bills-Browns game on Oct. 3—is available through every major television provider in Western New York, including the following channels:
Time Warner Cable in Buffalo: 5 or 710 (HD)
Dish Network: 5
Verizon FiOS: 5 or 505 (HD)
Replays of the show will also be available on BuffaloNews.com.
