Former Williamsville North High School football star Rob Gronkowski hasn’t quite earned the label of the NFL’s version of Patrick Kane, but he’s sure making media waves this off-season.

At Patriots’ punter Zoltan Mesko’s Children’s Hospital benefit in Boston, blog Shot of Ginn (with photos) and Deadspin both gave their accounts of Gronkowski’s shirtless activities, where rumors circulated that he poured a Jack & Coke on a woman.

Busted Coverage has a few more photos of Gronk simply being the party animal 22-year-old NFL superstar that he is.

We’ve heard that’s not the smoothest way to endear yourself to the opposite sex, Mr. Gronk, and wasn’t this a charity event to benefit children? Still, Mesko’s party arrived mere days after Gronkowski inked the richest contract in NFL history for a tight end at six years, $54 million after setting the NFL record for touchdown receptions by a TE last year—in other words, “celebration” was probably at the top of his mind.

Gronk’s life isn’t a 24/7 party, as many buzz sites would have you believe. He did shave his head to support cancer research, Doug Farrar from Yahoo! Sports Shutdown Corner blog noted last week.

Anyhow, there are a number of recent off-season Gronk stories that have, for whatever reason, circulated on the web:

—The camera on Gronk at a Celtics vs. Heat NBA playoff game (SB Nation)

— Gronk was asked a very difficult question of “kill-marry-bleep” at the University of Rhode Island, and he was up for taking Tim Tebow’s virginity.

— He apparently had a good time on spring break at South Padre Island, and he wore Zubaz pants!
