According to the Buffalo News, the residents of Hamburg will have a new neighbor this summer.

The Buffalo native and Chicago Blackhawks star has purchased a lakefront home for $2.68 million this week, a decent upgrade from his condominium at The Pasquale downtown.

The property is a five-bedroom, 3.5 bath house that spans over 2.7 acres on Old Lakeshore Road, near Route 5. The Colonial style home was built in 2006 and covers 5,878 square feet.

Looking for your own mansion to snatch up after you win the Mega Millions jackpot tonight? Get in touch with Maureen Flavin. Including Kane, Flavin has handled many properties for professional athletes in the area looking to settle down and find a spot in the Western New York area.

From his Discover Card commercial to his highlight-reel moves on the ice, it’s cool to see the Chicago superstar investing in a place back home, even though we might not see him in town anytime soon. The Blackhawks currently sit in sixth place in the Western Conference, with a six-point lead on the seventh-place Phoenix Coyotes. A post-season playoff run is more than likely in the works.

So far this season, Kane has racked up 20 goals and 41 assists for a grand total of 61 points. He’s a plus-7 in 78 games.

Check out Kane in the NBC Sports Network’s series “NHL 36.”

How does one have 3.5 baths? I’m just looking to take half a bath.
