Pat Kane apologizes for recent antics - VIDEO

The first day of the annual Blackhawks Convention didn’t go as smoothly as Patrick Kane might have planned.

Usually bombarded with inquiries about the upcoming season, Kane was hit with questions regarding his highly publicized antics at a Cince de Mayo party in Madison, Wis. earlier this year. We covered that story fairly well, with a “Pat Kane meme” coming out of it.

Kane, a South Buffalo native is fully aware this isn’t his first time in the spotlight for questionable behavior. His incident with the cab driver here in Buffalo, a shirt-less limo ride in Vancouver and most recently being photographed in Madison, being just a few of the situations.

But we saw a more collected and embarrassed Pat Kane at the Blackhawks Convention, who seems to be well aware that he has to shape up his image.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times,

“It’s not fun,” Kane said. “That’s not really the person I am. I think the people that are closest to me really know who I am and what I’m about and what I want to bring to this world. That’s definitely not something I want to pride myself on, and the image that I have right now is something I can only strive to get better. That’s not who I want to be. I want to be someone who can be a role model to kids and to everyone for that matter.”

Take a look at the video below from the Blackhawks Convention. It seems Kane might finally realize it’s time to clean up his image. He may be a South Buffalo 20-something, but he is still a professional NHL athlete who has a ton of kids looking up to him as a role model.
