Buffalo’s favorite “man between the benches” stopped by the Off The Record offices today and picked up a quick game of ball hockey.

Unfortunately, the former Sabres forward couldn’t take advantage of the one-on-one opportunity and was denied at goal.

When teased about his lack of scoring as an NHL player, Ray replied, “It’s not how many you get. You know what? I single handedly knocked the Leafs out of the playoffs in ‘99 and they haven’t been in them since.”

Although the Leaf’s haven’t really made a run for the Stanley Cup since then, they did continuously make the NHL playoffs from the 1998-99 to 2003-04 season. The Leaf’s haven’t made it to the postseason since the 2004-05 NHL lockout.
