Stoking the fire: Hatred between FC Buffalo, Erie still burns

Small victories pile up for winless Buffalo Hunters

blog by Ben Tsujimoto  •

After the American Ultimate Disc League’s Buffalo Hunters concluded a three-game home-stand in Orchard Park, the fledgling professional ultimate team remains win-less at 0-7, the lone team in the league with a goose-egg in the win column. Still, the Hunters haven’t been blown out by any means, losing the three games at home by a combined seven points.

Perhaps most encouraging was a 17-13 defeat at the hands of first-place Connecticut Constitution (6-1), a squad that thumped the Hunters 30-15 in the first meeting between the two clubs. Video highlights provided by Skyd Magazine are embedded above.

The Hunters return home at 6:30 p.m. June 16 for a match against the Indianapolis AlleyCats (5-3), the leader of the Western Division of AUDL. Individual tickets can be purchased here for any of the Hunters’ five remaining home affairs. All contests are held at the Orchard Park High School Sports Complex, 3909 N. Freeman Rd., Orchard Park.
