The team may be in the off-season, but the Buffalo Sabres still need your help to get Tyler Ennis into the final round of TSN’s Play of the Year 2012.

Ennis dominated the first round of the bracket, beating out the Boston Bruins’ Shawn Thornton with 77.89% of the votes. The next round versus the Bruins’ Benoit Pouliot was a lot closer, but Ennis pulled out the victory with 51.21% of the votes. Then there was the nail-biter. In the final minutes on the third round of the bracket, Ennis came back from being down votes from the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Evgeni Malkin and edged out a 50.14% victory.

Now more than ever, the Sabres need you to pitch in. Head over to the TSN Play of the Year webpage and vote often for Tyler, who is matched up against goaltender, Ondrej Pavelec of the Winnipeg Jets. There is no registration form to vote and you don’t have to provide any personal email or information. Just click “Vote Now” under Tyler Ennis’ photo on the right side of the screen, refresh the page and do it again!

This should keep most of you hockey fans satisfied, especially with the Stanley Cup finals kicking off tonight at 8 p.m. Ennis chatted with the Sabres’ front office about getting support from fans for TSN’s showdown. Take a listen here:

And a few encouraging words from the other Tyler—Tyler Myers:
