When Kirks collide

For Bills linebacker Kirk Morrison, a rose [read: “Twitter handle”] by any other name wouldn’t have smelled as sweet.
Back in October, we reported that the Bills player arranged a deal with the Canadian kid by the same name who had ownership over the Twitter handle @KirkMorrison. The Canadian college kid would hand over the Twitter name, and he’d get an all-expenses-paid trip to Buffalo for a Bills game in return.
Over the weekend, the University of Regina student traveled to Buffalo with his brother for the Bills-Jets game, and he returned home full of Buffalove.
“I know Buffalo maybe has a bad rep, but the people in that city treated us so well everywhere we went,” the tweeter formerly known as @KirkMorrison told the Regina Leader-Post. “They took us under their wing, so to speak, and they showed us a great time. It was a trip of a lifetime.”

The Canadian duo received invitations to tailgating parties via Twitter, and they ended up heading over to Jim Kelly’s parking lot fiesta.
“He was grilling up burgers and drinking with the fans. He was such a cool guy. The NFL Network had cameras there and was working on a special story with him, so I got to be a part of that,” the non-football-playing Morrison said of Bills legend Jim Kelly.
The Regina Leader-Post reports that the brothers Morrison returned home to Canada, but they’re considering a return to WNY in the future.
“But we’re already talking about going back. We had such a great time, met so many amazing people and made a new friend in (Kirk Morrison). We’re definitely going back . . . we’re Bills fans for life.”
