Big 4 basketball at the First Niagara Center - PHOTOS

by Don Nieman  •

The Niagara Purple Eagles and the Davidson Wildcats started the night of Big 4 basketball at the First Niagara Center with a game that saw a back-and-forth first half with the Purple Eagles opening it up in the second half, walking away with a 83-72 win over the visitors from North Carolina.

In the second game it looked like, with a little over 11 minutes left in the game, that the UB Bulls would own the night against their cross-town rivals the Canisius Griffins, but the Griffs’ Chris Perez and Phil Valenti had something else in mind and opened it up, disappointing the possibly too confident UB Bulls 69-55.
