The air was cold and the wind was strong but that didn't stop all the Buffalonians from making the journey down to the arena. Hockey is back & here to stay! The Buffalo Sabres opened up the regular season Sunday afternoon at the First Niagara Center against the Philadelphia Flyers. The fans came out with all their newest Sabres gear they acquired in the offseason and they were ready to show it off. Everybody was excited for some hockey as soon as they entered the arena and could smell the popcorn. Nobody talked about the lockout; all they talked about was how excited they were to be experiencing live N.H.L. hockey again. The Sabres made the fans proud and started the season off in a great way by defeating Philadelphia 5-2. They continue their undefeated streak Monday night as they face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs over the border at the Air Canada Centre. Check out our gallery and see all the great looks!
