An opponent cannot help but be intimidated when entering Ohio Stadium on the campus of “The Ohio State University.” The Horseshoe is filled with a sea of red as the 103,000+ fans don their beloved university’s colors of scarlet and gray while on the field the deafening crowd noise actually hurts your ears. You notice much of the staff on the field wears ear plugs.
Then there is the tradition—it is almost like a religious gathering, with a schedule in which the Buckeye fans and team join as one in the ritual celebration. And the Buckeyes are BIG. The UB Bulls felt that intimidation as the first quarter results found them down 23-0. However, the Bulls actually outscored Ohio State in the last three quarters. Nonetheless, it was just too much for the UB Bulls, who finally walked away with a 40-20 defeat. We will hear from the UB Bulls this year!
