Ben is the digital communications manager at The Buffalo News. He manages Buffalo.com and works in coordination with its talented staff on a variety of projects, including content management, social media, email marketing, event promotion, contests and more.

A 2000 graduate of SUNY Fredonia, Ben and his wife Amy live in North Buffalo with their two cats. Ben is passionate about long-distance running, sports, politics, literature, movies and music.

Ben T.‘s duties are writing stories for the website, mostly on food and sports, as well as covering Buffalo.com’s social media on Thursdays and co-managing the freelance photography program.

He began working with Buffalo.com in 2009, shortly after receiving his bachelor’s in history from Houghton College. He still plays soccer year-round throughout Western New York, and he runs the soundboard at Village Church.

Kathryn’s duties include writing stories for the website, usually covering music, fashion and sports, in addition to interviewing fascinating people. She covers social media on Wednesdays and co-manages the freelance photography program.

Graduating from the University at Buffalo with a B.A. in communication in 2011, she is an avid tennis player, Irish dancer and loves old buildings.

Katie’s duties include creating the weekly e-newsletter for Buffalo.com and HTML email campaigns for Buffalo Brides, covering social media for ShopBuffalo.com and SweetFind.com, and advocating for local shopping in Buffalo.

She graduated from Canisius College in May of 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies and an integrated marketing communication certificate. She loves spinning, the Yankees and laughing at just about anything.

S.J.‘s duties include writing for the site, editing the homepage, producing videos and taking over social media on Mondays.

She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in communication studies and religious studies from Canisius College, and a master’s degree in magazine, newspaper and online journalism from Syracuse University’s SI Newhouse School of Public Communications.

When not living and breathing Buffalo.com, S.J. is Irish dancing.
