Ask Avery: If the shoe fits
blog by Avery Hartmans • May 17, 2013 @ 9:13am •
Dear Avery,
I desperately need a new pair of sandals for the summer. What’s in this season?
I may be a shoe fetishist, but I bet I can tell you about every pair of sandals I’ve ever had. I love summer footwear, perhaps too much, but for good reason: sandals come in every style and every color these days. How can you buy just one pair?
But styles change, just as in every other…

Ask Avery: Mother’s Day gift guide
blog by Avery Hartmans • May 10, 2013 @ 8:59am •
Dear Avery,
I want to get my mom something nice for Mother’s Day this year but I’m stumped. What are some good gifts for mothers that won’t cost over $100?
Mother’s Day is tough to shop for, especially if you have one of those moms who always says, “Don’t get me anything!” when asked what she wants. And although I think Mother’s Day is one of those holidays you can…

Ask Avery: Playing with the boys
blog by Avery Hartmans • May 03, 2013 @ 9:28am •
Dear Avery,
I am in a very male-dominated field that I enjoy and excel at. The problem is, I never know what to wear to work. I’m pretty good looking (not to brag) but I need these men to take me seriously, so I can’t look too feminine. I don’t mind dressing a little more plainly than usual but I don’t think that should mean I give up my sense of style completely. Help!
