5 Buffalo caps for celebrating National Hat Day

Happy National Hat Day, cap-wearing locals. What an appropriate day to reach for an article of clothing that keeps your gourd warm, considering how much cooler the weather is now compared to a few days ago.
Lucky for locals, Buffalo boasts plenty of options for Queen City-inspired hats. Just over on Delaware Avenue, we have our very own New Era flagship store with lots of options. We also have plenty of smaller shops that sell handmade hats.
With National Hat Day upon us, there’s no better time to browse city-centric caps. Here are just a few for your consideration:
1. Buffalo hat with attached scarf-mittens, Buffalo Adore

This is the ultimate keep-warm cap with attached scarf-mitten contraption. Adore Buffalo is located at 391 Abbott Road in South Buffalo.
2. Buffalo Foodie 59FIFTY Cap, New Era

Part of New Era’s Foodie series, this wing-inspired cap captures Buffalo’s most famous edible export.
3. Handmade helmet, HelmetHed on Etsy

We featured a Sabres yarmulke from Etsy on the site yesterday, along with a crocheted baby helmet. Today, we offer you this handmade creation. This particular listing is for a youth cap, but HelmetHed on Etsy also offers adult-sized hats.
4. Buffalo Sabres NHL Dogear 59FIFTY, New Era

It’s finally time to jump on the Sabres train. Beef up your hockey apparel collection while protecting your ears from the cold. Hey, why not?
5. Buffalo plaid bomber, L.L. Bean

This hat doesn’t have much to do with the city of Buffalo, except for its name—buffalo plaid is a popular pattern—and the fact that this hat will keep Western New Yorkers warm throughout the winter months.
