Learn your fashion ABCs with our style and beauty series, taking a look at trends, local shops and ideas—one letter at a time.
“Alphabetical Style” will break down a weekly list of five trends pertaining to the featured letter. From clothing pieces and accessories to hair styles and makeup, we’ll cover it all. Take a look at our “M-trends” including monochromatic looks, Marc Jacobs for Target, maxi skirts and dresses, midnight blue nails and metallic watches.
Monochromatic: sticking to one hue or color this season is a fresh way to mix up your outfits, especially around the holiday season. For a festive winter look, give white, beige and creme colored pieces a shot.

Marc Jacobs for Target: as part of the highly anticipated “Neiman Marcus + Target Holiday 24 Collection,” this is a great chance to pick out some designer digs for a fraction of the cost. The line is also marked down to 50% off now, being so close to the holidays.

Maxi skirts/dresses: play with new hemlines that go beyond the mini and knee-length options. Free People at the Galleria Mall has a great selection of maxi skirts and dresses for anywhere from casual to dressed up occasions.

Midnight-blue nails: these Hanukkah inspired nails feature a fun manicure from My Awesome Beauty. Mixing in dark blue hues with metallics can make for a festive look this holiday season.

Metallic watches: add some flair to your wrist by swapping in a shiny watch instead of your usual bangles and bracelets. Although we might be depedent on cell phones to check the time, these rose gold watches from Macy’s are a stylish alternative.
