The dreaded North Face season approaches.  You’re already aware of what you’ll see—teenage girls strolling the streets in black, brown, pink or gray jackets, defending their attire with cheesy “but they’re so warm and sleek!” lines.  For each North Face jacket purchased, one ambitious local designer sheds a massive, watery tear—I’m really just kidding, but hey, we’re “all in” on local business.

Ooo La La Boutique, owned and operated by Crista Botticello (fellow Iroquois High School graduate—nice!), hosts its fall and winter fashion show from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.  There’s a gamut of attractions; first and foremost, local designers previewing their collections are Clare Canavan, Melissa Edwards, Nancy Celeste, Steven Bales, Thomas Lee Designs (back from fashion week!) and Koriana Cichocki. Swirls Cupcakery, an East Aurora dessert store that just opened earlier this fall, will offer samples of their made-from-scratch cupcakes. 

Don’t worry, male fashion buffs—there will be styles on Saturday worthy of your attention, too.  Both women’s and men’s apparel will be featured, as well as artisan jewelry and handbags (though men may be slightly less interested in the latter two). 

Because of expected high attendance, Ooo La La requests that prospective guests RSVP for seating by calling (716) 655-5100.  Doors open at 5:15 p.m., and once the show ends at 8:30, guests are welcome to stay and shop at Ooo La La for 15% off their total bill.  That’s generosity!
