Get the look: Amy Cook

blog by Kathryn Przybyla • October 29, 2012 @ 11:29am
With a smooth folk sound, Amy Cook has a very laid-back style with comfortable stage-wear that plays off her music well. Soft cottons and scarves are a common sight for the singer-songwriter.
According to her website, “It’s not easy to fuse a connection between the heartstrings and the hipbone, to bridge the emotional intensity of a singer-songwriter and the effortless swagger of a born rocker. But that’s exactly what California-bred, Austin-based Amy Cook has been doing for more than a decade – winning over fans with tunes that not only connect, but also attach themselves to the very heart of pleasure.”
You can catch Amy Cook at 8 p.m. on Nov. 6 at the Ninth Ward. She will be opening for Joe Pug and tickets are $12 in advance and $14 the day of show. You can purchase tickets through Tickets.com, Rust Belt Books or the Babeville box office.
