With the summer coming to a close, there are only a few more chances to catch an outside show in the Queen City.

Two of the most looked forward shows all season are taking place this weekend at the Inner and the Outer harbors. With completely different styles—not to mention genres—it’s looking to be a music packed weekend.

LL Cool J will be hitting the Buffalo Place Rocks the Harbor stage this Saturday, beginning at 6 p.m. Joining him for this show will be DJ Z-Trip and tickets are still available for the show through Tickets.com.

The final show of the year, Buffalo Place put together one of the best summer line-ups I have ever seen in downtown Buffalo. Can’t wait to see what they come up with for next.

Evanescence will be part of Edgefest 2012, kicking off at 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Buffalo Outer Harbor (where Girl Talk performed).

Joining them will be Three Days Grace, Chevelle, Halestorm, Black Stone Cherry, Cavo and New Medicine for this music festival. Tickets are currently on sale for $38 in advance and can be purchased through Ticketmaster. 

Both acts show off a very genre specific style. LL Cool J is known for his old-school hip hop looks on stage, not far from the outfits he rocked in the ‘80s and ‘90s—minus a few gold chains. Amy Lee from Evanescence is no stranger to the rock-goth look, frequently dressed in black with pops of bright pink, blue, and other gem tones.
