She’s like the cool older sister you never had.
Promoting a new album, “100 Miles From Memphis,” Sheryl Crow has been working hard this year on tour, entertaining with some new songs and old favorites.
According to Artpark,
Free-spirited, fearless and fierce, Sheryl Crow has garnered nine Grammys, performed duets with musical luminaries such as Sting and Mick Jagger, released seven studio albums which sold more than 35 million records worldwide, saw the launch of her very own clothing line Bootheel Trading Co., is a cancer survivor and passionate humanitarian and has performed for President Obama!
From humble beginnings as a jingle and back-up singer, Crow has reached the pinnacle of professional solo success.
Opening the show for Crow will be Indiana native, Jon McLaughlin—no stranger to the stage. According to his website,
Just four years ago, McLaughlin’s Island Records debut propelled his song “Beautiful Disaster” up the charts, with “Beating My Heart” following quickly after. Hollywood immediately took notice of the young songwriter and didn’t stop at just using several of his songs for films and commercials.
McLaughlin himself was offered a role in the hit film Enchanted, performing a song that was later nominated for an Academy Award.
Both musicians have a cool and carefree style amongst themselves, which shows through in their effortless performances. Their laid-back fashion falls somewhere between extremely trendy and extremely comfortable, making it the perfect fit for a touring artist.
The show at Artpark is sold-out tonight, but if you’re looking for more information, check out Artpark’s website.
