Get the look: Walk Off the Earth, The Mowgli’s

blog by Kathryn Przybyla • October 22, 2012 @ 11:50am
Although they might be most well-known for their creative Gotye cover of “Somebody That I Used to Know,” Walk Off the Earth has some pretty incredible original tracks as well. Self-proclaimed as an “unconventional, multi-talented five-piece musical phenomena,” the group is based in Burlington, Ontario and will be coming to Buffalo on Dec. 6 (updated after original Oct. 24 date was postponed).
A laid-back style, button down shirts, tees and cotton tanks are a go-to look for the men in this band, while Sarah Blackwood represents the ladies with quirk headbands, band shirts and her wavy blonde hair.
Opening the show, The Mowgli’s are a California-based group made up of five friends hailing from San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles. If you’re a fan of Fun., Grouplove and Edward Sharpe And the Magnetic Zeros, this is a band to check out.
A casual-chic style, plaid shirts and the occasional glitter jacket and printed tank are a usual look for this group.
Walk Off the Earth will be performing at 7 p.m. alongside Julia Nunes and The Mowgli’s on Wednesday at the Town Ballroom. Tickets for the show are $20 in advance and can be purchased through Tickets.com.
