Buffalo Place will have their hands full this weekend with two highly anticipated shows coming to the Erie Canal Central Wharf. Feist and Weezer, known both for their distinct music can also get pretty creative when it comes to style and fashion. Both are featured in this week’s “Get the Look.”
Feist, a Canadian singer-songwriter hailing from Nova Scotia has had a blossoming solo career in addition to success as a member of the indie rock group, Broken Social Scene. Her eclectic sound completely transfers over to her style with infamous blunt-chopped bangs and edgy accessories. Known for the single, “1234” off her third album The Reminder, the song took off after being featured in an Apple iPod nano commercial.
Weezer, an American alternative rock band hailing from Los Angeles, ruled the 90s with huge hits including “Island in the Sun,” “Buddy Holly,” “Memories” and “Beverly Hills.” The group epitomizes the “geek rock” look with frontman Rivers Cuomo and his signature thick-rimmed glasses.
You can catch Weezer at the Erie Canal Central Wharf this Friday and Feist will be taking the stage in the same location this Sunday. Tickets for Feist are still available for $10 pre-sale and $20 day of show and for Weezer $35 pre-sale and $40 day of show. Head over to Buffalo Place’s website for more information on both shows.
