It’s a fashion night out with the Get Ready for C4MA shopping event

So pretty much everyone in Buffalo falls into one of these two groups:
1.) you’re going to the Elmwood Village Association / Evergreen Health Services fashion extravaganza, Cause for Mass Appeal, on Saturday, Nov. 10 and you are semi-concerned that you’re going to look like last year when everyone else is already onto next year;
2.) you’ve recently stared bleakly into your closet and thought, “What the hell am I going to wear today?” before freezing up like a Bills linebacker on a halfback counter.
There is a solution to either scenario is simple—check out the Get Ready for C4MA shopping event at participating stores in the Elmwood Village on Thursday, Nov. 1.
What exactly does Get Ready for C4MA entail? Our friends from the Elmwood Village Association explain:
Shop Elmwood boutiques and salons for your Cause for Mass Appeal outfit shoes, accessories and beauty products. Purchase an Elmwood Village wristband for $10 and receive an exclusive 10 percent off at participating boutiques and salons. Wristband proceeds support the Elmwood Village Association. Shop all day with your wristband, then enjoy special in-store receptions from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Keep your wristband on and get specials at participating bars.
Stores will feature after-hours DJ performances, appearances by local models, a burlesque show along Elmwood Avenue and many more colorful surprises. Loosely modeled on the popular Fashion’s Night Out series that has garnered attention in major international cities, Get Ready for C4MA offers a prime opportunity to explore some of the city’s hottest shops in an accessible, comfortable manner.
“There’s going to be a fun, party atmosphere,” said Carly Battin, executive director of the Elmwood Village Association. “We’re hoping every store will have something special.”
Participating stores include Abalie, Acropolis, Anna Grace, Atelier, Epic, Filigree’s, Half and Half Trading Co., JP Bullfeathers, Kallista for Hair, Lotions and Potions, MS Eye Cndy, O3 Cafe, Pasteurized Tees, Sai One, Salon Rouge, Second Chic, ShoeFly, Sole, Studio 806 and Urban Threads.
Wristbands are available for purchase at the Elmwood Village Association and participating businesses. For more information, contact the Elmwood Village Association at (716) 881-0707.
