When it comes to your hair, autumn might be the time to head to the salon to freshen up your look. While messy, beachy hair is always beautiful, fall calls for a more polished look. This season, try out a darker hue or shorter coif to bring your fall look to the next level.
Look #1 – the textured bob
People have been drooling over Diana Agron’s short ‘do, and for good reason. The “Glee” star chopped off her long blonde locks in favor of something with a little more edge and she’s never looked better. This look is ideal for fall because it’s easy to maintain (depending on your hair type, you can probably just let it air dry) and chic. For those with super-long hair, a new crop will update your look instantly.
Look #2 – ombrè
This color technique is still in after a few seasons, and no one does it better than Drew Barrymore. It looks natural and doesn’t force you to schedule regular dye-jobs. Plus, ombrè hair is a great way to transition from a lighter shade for the summer to a darker shade for fall. While it may lead to awkward questions about when you’ll be getting your roots touched up, ombrè is chic, stylish and above all, pretty.
Look #3 – side-swept waves
Loose waves are always in style but this fall, they’re getting a more elegant update. Stars like Emma Stone, Blake Lively and Lauren Conrad are fans of long wavy hair with one side pinned back. The look is chic and rather retro without being too fussy.
Look #4 – Dip-dyed tips
This trend is not for the faint of heart – dip-dyed tips take some guts. Lauren Conrad channels Rainbow Brite with these temporary pastel-colored ends and I have to say, I’m in love. This hair color presents some challenges however – your outfits may not match your wild hair and this is only really feasible on blondes. Plus, it looks best when hair is wavy like Conrad’s. Still, though, you’ve got to admit her hair looks awesome.
