Support Buffalo New Generations on Saturday

A fashion and talent show is scheduled for this Saturday, and while it’s in a slightly different vein than Buffalo State College’s Runway 6.0, it still touts the hard work of young professionals trying to infuse a sense of modern style into Buffalo’s fabric.
Buffalo New Generations, a community organization dedicated to celebrating the talents of the Nickel City’s next generation, will host the event at 6 p.m. at 345 Niagara St., Buffalo. Here’s a Google Street View image of the setting, which is down the road from Tops Markets and across Niagara Street from Rite Aid. Admission is $5 at the door.
Eight local designers will showcase their wares on Buffalo-based models, who were carefully recruited during a slew of casting calls over the last two months.
The group of designers hails from several of Buffalo’s neighborhoods—not just one. From Elmwood to Hertel to the Market Arcade downtown, the fashion collections will represent Buffalo’s diversity and recognize gifted young designers, too.
